We started growing hops in 2012. We grow using responsible methods. As an Upstate New York hop farm, we provide high quality earthy hops full of flavor and aroma. At Ventifact Hops we do not use harsh heat to dry our hops, only airflow and humidity control. This provides the best quality hop and preserves the volatile aromas we worked hard all season to obtain. Over the past two years we have grown thirteen different hop varieties to determine which varieties grow most vigorously and healthy in our location. In spring of 2014 we will plant three varieties on four acres to start our farm on a commercial scale.
